The Source Panel displays the XML file data that describes your project.

To view/hide the Source panel click the Panels→Panels→ button.

 

The file format for all project and part files in DEX are industry standard XML files. The files are text files, readable by you. DEX files are open and the specification is freely available from the DEX web site.  Even DEX's config files are human readable XML files.
